Rules / Information
- The feis is open to anyone as long as they fulfil the age requirement
- Competitors
must be under the stated competition age on 1st January 2021. If requested, a
Certificate of Age must be produced within 7 days
- Entries
can only be made online
- The
entry fee is €5 for each competition
- Payment
must be made online with the competition entry. We use a secure payment method
powered by STRIPE.
- Competitors must record and submit a separate video (in landscape format) per piece/tune as indicated on the syllabus.
- Video should be in MP4 / MOV / AVI or WMV format. If your video is in a different format please contact us to see if we can resolve it.
- The maximum cumulative file size per entry form is 60MB.
- You could lower the recording quality of your device before you record the video. This won’t affect the adjudicator when viewing your performance but will make the uploading of the files much easier
- You could also use video compression software to reduce the file size e.g. Handbrake or Freeconvert
- Please
position the recording device so that the competitor and instrument can be
clearly seen.
- The
video should be named so it can be easily identified e.g.
MaryKellyFiddleU12Tune1
- As
videos can be large we have limited each entry form to two competitions (maximum
four videos) to ensure the upload goes smoothly. If you wish to enter more
competitions please complete another entry
- The
closing date for entries is midnight on Tuesday 1st June 2021 but we would ask
competitors to submit their entries as soon as they are ready so that we do not
have technical volume issues at the last moment!
- We
aim to issue results on Sunday 20th June but reserve the right to delay this
date if any unforeseen issues arise.
- The
adjudicators will complete a feedback sheet which will be issued to competitors
in the week after the results are issued together with a certificate
- A
small monetary prize will be awarded to first prize winners
